Sun, 11 June 2006  I am back from vacation and also back on the podcastin' wagon (or is it off the wagon)?? Germany was great with the highlight being a free beer festival in Munich. Six of the top breweries were celebrating the graduation of their new brewmasters and were giving away free beer. The likes of Hofbrauhaus, Paulaner, and Spatenbrau were all represented. I then went to the south of France and drove down the Route de Vins, which goes through several wining towns. I went to about 10 different wineries and bought wine to bring back to the US. I also went to the Swarovski museum's Kristallwelten, complete with psychedelic type art and rooms in their art gallery. Lot"s of usage of crystals and lights. It's something that needs to be seen more than described, but it includes a Brian Eno meditation room and also a large room filled with small mirrors, lights, and ambient music. Hey, I even saw a hippie lying down on the floor spacing out in that room. Someone needs to tell him it's 2006 and he needs a haircut!! Today's show is another mixed bag o' goodies for you to enjoy. No features here but a bit of self horn honking with one of my favorite Syd Satellite numbers. I also managed to find the first CD I ever acquired which is a rare and weird Beatles album called Beatlegs. Enjoy the Beatles promoting their usage of illegal substances, something they really weren't allowed to do at that time. Even when simply goofing off, they can still write better than most. Last time I played Embryo and this time I will play another song from the same show, which is Echoes and I will follow that with The End by The Doors.
